South African Guinea Pig Society was founded in 2005.

SAGPS is a society of like minded people who's primary focus is the "well being" of Guinea Pigs in South Africa.
SAGPS does not support the indiscriminant breeding of Guinea Pigs, and stands to preserve existing breeds, we are also committed to introducing new breeds into South Africa, which is extremely important to us as a society.
